Korea....A Delightful Surprise!

First of all......Merry Christmas to you and your family....I wish you all the best, peace, love, health and a brighter 2015......

Korea was a surprise....Here I have some Korean friends that advise us what to do. My friends are very gentle, polite, and delicate. I thought they were like that. It happens that all Korean we met on our trip were like that...gentle, polite, and delicate

A country with great history. They are very proud of their tradition, culture and art. Its old art and architecture are  influenced by Buddhism and Confucianism, and the modern one it is a mix of European and North American architecture. Today, South Korea is a very modern country.

However, what impressed me most is the high economic growth they have. Depending on the economic classification exists, Korea is in ranking between 11 and 15 degree in the global economy. Although affected by the Asian economic crisis of the late 1990s, in the last economic crisis avoided the recession and have one of the lowest rates of unemployment in the world. As an example, in 1960 the per capita GDP was $ 79 (lower than some countries in sub-Saharan Africa), and is now almost $ 24,000 per person .......

How is it that a country that was one of the poorest countries in Asia became one of the richest in the world? .... This is a study for many politicians in the world ....

The simplicity of this country was magic....

And one of the best things ...... SEAFOOD! ..... We visited the Noryangjin fish market (established in 1927), one of the largest seafood markets in the world. Open 24 hours seven days a week ....

For we who have fresh seafood where we live .... this place was paradise!

And of course....we ate there in a small little restaurant....it was unforgettable!!
